wait, something is different

"photography is what you see with your eye and it goes so quick, that you don’t even have to see it. to photograph means to paint with light. mistakes are part of it. they are the poetry, the painterly quality. and for that you need a bad camera, if you want to be famous, you have to be worse in something, than anybody else in the world!"

first showing, ever.

"No, my crow is not dead."
oil on stretched canvas

I started this on the 28th of June. It's actually covering a silly doll painting which was a first experience with oil that got boring. This, honestly, is my 2nd attempt.

"Goddess of Dreams" or "A silly self portrait"
acrylic on stretched canvas

I started this on the 15th of june and it's still not finished. My father actually claimed it the second I told him it was a 'sorta' self portrait. So I'll be making some prints...

"our babies"
oil over acrylic on canvas board

So I don't ever want to have children until Richard and I can stand on our own two feet. We consider our pets our furry children. And soon we'll be adding a parakeet to that family (Which consists of a fish... and formerly two lizards. they are gone now). So this is my first painting of two parakeets. It's a fun project that I started on the 30th of June.

Alright, till the next time

hello

There's a bird that perches on the same branch outside our apartment almost everyday. I think it's cooing to the guardian bird that my cousin Leanne made. Or it could just be cooing to Richard and I. We do sit on the porch enough for it to become slightly threatened. I tried shooting it (with a camera) today while the sun was out, but I think it sensed the foreign object. I never bring Sunny out on the porch so Mister/Misses Bird flew cleverly behind a large leaf and continued to coo.

I love birds. They're strong willed, but very fragile and very smart always filled with life. Something I strive to maintain throughout life.

Richard and I moved to Avondale Estates about six months ago. Compared to the other parts of Atlanta that we've stayed in, this has to be the most welcoming town. It's always calm, beautiful, and convenient. We made a lot of new friends after we settled. Most of them don't live nearby. The couple in the photo to the left (located in our lovely living room) live in North Georgia where Richard and I work.

Ashley and James came into Chili's one day and we exchanged high fives. Definitely a good first impression. They come by time to time to chill.
Among other friends that I haven't forgotten...

I'm a painter, at least I'd like to consider myself as such. I'll post up my current projects (and the progress) bi-weekly (hopefully) and maybe other crafts as well. I like to dabble in photography and jewelry but I won't ever call myself a photographer or a jeweler. For me that would be wrong.

Till Next Time
